On July 27, 2014, The Professional Photographers Of Louisiana held its annual Print Competition.   This is an event where many professional photographers from around the state of Louisiana enter photographs that were taken by themselves to be scored by a panel of 5 or 6 judges who are all Master Photographers from around the United States.

     This year was my first year competing. I was able to submit 6 images to be judged by the panel. I am very pleased and excited to announce that 5 out of the 6 images that I entered were chosen to be accepted for the honor exhibition at The 65th Annual Convention ~ Southern Pro Xposure!     3 out of the 6 were also high enough to receive the Court of Honor, which is a merit by the Professional Photographers of Louisiana!!

     The best news of all is that one of my images entitled, “What are YOU Looking At?” won the 2014 People’s Choice Award!!!

     I am looking forward to next year’s convention so I can win even more awards! I highly recommend this organization to anyone who is a photographer or aspiring to be one. Without this great network of amazing photographers, I would never have learned as much as I have to even be able to produce any artwork worthy of competing and scoring well.
